- LISS guarantees you a lot of fun: You will experience fun, various activities at
LISS, from hiking to playing mini golf, there are so many activities for you to
experience at LISS. My personal favourite is the medieval festival, people dress in
medieval costumes, playing music and selling antiques on the campus. Crossing
the stepping stones is also really exciting, you may accidentally dunk your feet in
the water, but it’s absolutely worthwhile. These activities and events happening at
LISS are wonderful, and they can ensure you a great time at LISS , enjoying your
summer in England.
2. LISS is a marvellous opportunity to make new friends: At LISS, you will meet new
people and befriend with many international students , at the end of LISS, it can be very difficult to say goodbye to them, for you will form some deep bonds with your friends.
3. LISS is a smart choice for learning new subjects: A lot of participants often choose
a different lecture from their own major, so if you are thinking of trying a course
that is not available in your home university, or just wanting to enrol in a completely new course, than LISS is perfect for you.
4. LISS courses are unconventional: The courses of LISS will include excursions,
such as visiting a stadium or a museum. For instance, my excursion took me to
Haworth, where the Bronte s lived when they were alive, seeing those villages and
schools there really make me feel closer to their works and the course itself, as if
there is no distance between me and the past. Anyway, the courses at LISS are not
just about lecturing, but about actually walking out of the classroom and thinking
outside of the box.
5. LISS can be a valuable chance for traveling: Aside from the excursions organized
by LISS, it provides the chances to visit other attractions in England such as
Whitby, Liverpool, and York. You can travel to London or Edinburgh on the
weekends as well. So seize this chance!
6. LISS makes you immerse in Leeds: Leeds is indeed a beautiful city, full of
modern buildings yet still maintain s lovely historical ones, this creates a unique atmosphere from other cities in England. At LISS, you will have a lot of time to explore this wonderful city.
7. The campus of University of Leeds is a place that will bring you a lot of surprises:
There are magnificent libraries and well equipped gyms on campus. During the
graduation season, some bands will be invited to perform on campus, and a
beautiful grand piano may be placed outside of the refectory, too. What’s more,
bunnies are almost everywhere, make sure to say hi to them on your way to c lass ,
as they may show up out of the blue
8. LISS is a great start of managing social media: LISS holds a contest called “LISS
Champion”, if you are interested in creating contents, shooting vlogs, or just
want ing to try running social media, then you should definitely participate in this
contest! And you can even win prizes!
9. LISS is an awesome motivation: LISS really makes me view things from different
perspectives, getting to know people’s ideas and learning from them. LISS
motivates me to learn more skills and meet new people. After LISS, I start learning a third language and join a new club, my experience at LISS has made me realize that experiencing new things is motivating and realizing my full potential can be a rewarding journey.
10. LISS is a place that creates memories: From having small picnic on campus with
friends to traveling in a foreign country, overall, you can create a lot of
unforgettable memories for your own summer at LISS, so set sail for the exciting
voyage at LISS!
